This past week has been a busy one. We have been working on a lot new projects so I wanted to take some time to shear a few photos + videos of some the commercial work that LaFrance Films is currently working on. We filmed a recording session with Urban Gypsy, The band is an Flamenco Jazz Fusion group. Urban Gypsy plays all over south florida including at the world renowned Breakers Hotel on beautiful Palm Beach. Be sure to check them out when every your out in about the Palm Beaches.

Also this past week we filmed a commercial for a medical company at scenic beach park in the heart of Boca Raton. This shoot was and grueling under the HOT sunny south florida sun. I should have packed some SPF 80 with my camera lens. Here are few photos of us working behind the scenes and some b-roll as well. 

Last week The Hamlet Country Club held an Hospitality Networking Event for south Florida’s top wedding + event vendors. LaFrance Films was proud to be one of the sponsors for this amazing event. The Hamlet is located in heart of Delray Beach, Florida. The country club recently renovated the entire club house. This place screams class! As soon as you walk through the doors you can see the modern asian inferences. It sets the perfect mood for any event! You can dine in tranquil ambiance of The Hamlet for lunch, dinner or Sunday Brunch.

A few weeks back I had a chance to film the 2011 Little Smiles/Chili’s Golf Tournament. This was NOT your typical Golf Tournament! Bear Lakes Country Club played host to this one of kind event. This was Little Smile 11th annual Golf Tournament. Little Smile is is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides toys, games, DVD’s, computers, VIP outings, celebrity meet and greets, concert, sporting event tickets, theme park tickets, fun food runs, nerf gun wars and much, much more…for children in local hospitals, hospices and shelters. We pride ourselves on being local, immediate, and hands on; and our Board of Directors is comprised of all volunteers. As you can see by the video this day on the green was filled with games, drinks and food. The meals where provided by Chili’s Grill & Bar Restaurant. This past week was a busy one. Here are a few Photos + Videos from the video shoot we did in Miami Beach for Scratch Weddings. This was a two day shoot. We filmed local DJs who did their set(s) and after that we interviewed them. Each year over 22,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer and 15,000 will die. This insidious disease is called the “Whisper Killer” because the symptoms are so subtle that the disease usually goes undetected until it is often too late for successful treatment. Jacquelin T. Liggett – Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper (H.O.W.) Founder was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer in August 2000 and died in August 2007. Jacquie was an optimist, a spiritual person and a real fighter. Through Jacquie’s efforts, H.O.W. was established in 2002 as a supporting organization of Palm Healthcare Foundation. Jacquie was determined to turn her story into a crusade to better educate women about the symptoms of ovarian cancer and the tools available for diagnosis. Because of Jacquie, women in Palm Beach County are becoming more informed about this disease and listening for the whisper.
