Mili + Alejandro have to be the sweetest couple I filmed this year. Mili has the most calmest and laid back personality that frankly is refreshing to see in a bride now a days. She knew what she wanted from the first day we meet that a Starbucks in Ft. Lauderdale. Alejandro or Ale seems to have a childlike personality that’s fun, creative and passionate. Together they make a perfect couple. Mili + Ale are not only a perfect team they know how to pick one as well. They selected some of the best vendors to make sure their day was a huge success. I has a wonderful time filming their wedding. Mili + Ale can PAR-TY! They had the Eden Roc jumping till 5 in the morning! Enjoy this wedding trailer that we put together of some the highlights of the evening. I really enjoyed their custom cake topper. It was so funny to see life-like bubble heads of Mili + Alejandro on top of their cake both showcasing their favorite vices (for mili its chocolate Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars and for Ale it’s playing video games on his PS3.)

We filmed a recording session with Urban Gypsy,

This past week has been a busy one. We have been working on a lot new projects so I wanted to take some time to shear a few photos + videos of some the commercial work that LaFrance Films is currently working on. We filmed a recording session with Urban Gypsy, The band is an Flamenco Jazz Fusion group. Urban Gypsy plays all over south florida including at the world renowned Breakers Hotel on beautiful Palm Beach. Be sure to check them out when every your out in about the Palm Beaches.

Also this past week we filmed a commercial for a medical company at scenic beach park in the heart of Boca Raton. This shoot was and grueling under the HOT sunny south florida sun. I should have packed some SPF 80 with my camera lens. Here are few photos of us working behind the scenes and some b-roll as well.

Coming Home

This past week was the best week ever! I got an text on Monday that my little sister, Kristina was about to give birth to Nathan her first child. I woke up the next morning seeing photos on Facebook and I was so happy to see the pictures of baby Nate but, I quickly realized why the hell I’m here is Florida!
I quickly bought tickets to fly out to Chicago, packed some clothes and a few lens and my 60D (this was all last min.) I think booked the longest flight pattern to Chicago w/ stops in Baltimore and Long Island I felt like I was never gonna get here.
After about 8 hours of travel time I landed at Midway. My mother + father picked me up and where off to the hospital. Keep in mind my sister had no idea I was coming to see her. When I was walked in the hospital room she did not even recognize me! It was nice to see her and her new baby boy, Nathan.
After the initial hellos it was time to get to work and start filming all the events at where happening all around me. Here is some photos + the video I made during mine 7 day trip. I can’t wait to return to Chicago to visit my sister + Bryan and Nathan.

SunFest Promo Video

Fun in the sun that’s what SunFest is all about! SunFest is where the music meets the waterfront. To say that it’s just a music festival is an understatement. SunFest just wrapped up it’s 29th year and had up to 200,000 attendees.
This amazing event is a 5 day long party that takes place on the streets of downtown West Palm Beach. SunFest celebrities not just music but the arts and community as well.
We where so happy to hear that the SunFest asked us to produce a promo video that focused on the crowd and feel of SunFest. This was no easy task. SunFest spends the length of Flagler Drive along the waterfront (i made sure i was wearing my walking shoes) The event features 3 main stages with over 50 bands performing! This year SunFest lineup including Jason Mraz, Earth, Wind & Fire, Styx, MGMT, Sublime with Rome, Cee Lo Green, Jeff Beck, Taking Back Sunday Gregg Allman, Neon Trees and many many more.

Hamlet Country Club Open House

Last week The Hamlet Country Club held an Hospitality Networking Event for south Florida’s top wedding + event vendors. LaFrance Films was proud to be one of the sponsors for this amazing event. The Hamlet is located in heart of Delray Beach, Florida. The country club recently renovated the entire club house. This place screams class! As soon as you walk through the doors you can see the modern asian inferences. It sets the perfect mood for any event! You can dine in tranquil ambiance of The Hamlet for lunch, dinner or Sunday Brunch.

2011 Little Smiles/Chili’s Golf Tournament

A few weeks back I had a chance to film the 2011 Little Smiles/Chili’s Golf Tournament. This was NOT your typical Golf Tournament! Bear Lakes Country Club played host to this one of kind event. This was Little Smile 11th annual Golf Tournament. Little Smile is is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides toys, games, DVD’s, computers, VIP outings, celebrity meet and greets, concert, sporting event tickets, theme park tickets, fun food runs, nerf gun wars and much, much more…for children in local hospitals, hospices and shelters. We pride ourselves on being local, immediate, and hands on; and our Board of Directors is comprised of all volunteers. As you can see by the video this day on the green was filled with games, drinks and food. The meals where provided by Chili’s Grill & Bar Restaurant. Little SmilesStars Ball 2011

Once a year the Little Smiles organization puts together an event called The Stars Ball. The Stars Ball is a black tie (optional) gala that is modeled after the Oscars. The only difference is that the actors are replaced with children who are much more important. These children in our region are battling cancer and other life altering conditions. For one night, the children are able to escape the reality of their conditions into a world of fantasy…. One where they are the STARS and where they are special and they are not sick or different from everyone else. The girls get beautiful gowns, their hair and makeup done and the boys are fitted with tuxedos. Then they are whisked away in a stretch limo and brought to The Harriet Himmel Theater to walk the red carpet. All of the guest line the red carpet to get photos and autographs of our Little Stars. This night is one of magic. It makes the children feel special and it gives them and their family a time that they will always remember.
We were asked again to film the Stars Ball again this year.We started the day early filming the setup at the The Harriet Himmel Theater. After shooting the the food prep and table settings we were off to film the BIG STARS at Pizazz Hair Studio and Bacio Bacio Bridal Salon. Over there the girls got into their beautiful gowns and got their hair and makeup done by Team Beauti. After everyone got dolled up the kids hopped into a big limo and was escorted by firetrucks all the way down to CityPlace. Once at The Harriet Himmel Theater they where met up by Kevin, Virginia and Jason from WILD 95.5 Morning Show and handreds of their fans Here is the video that we did of the event. Omphoy / Bacio Bacio Bridal Video & Photo Shoot

Hello Everyone! This past week we had the opportunity work with some of most talented vendors in the south florida wedding industry. This shoot was one of the most carefree and easy shoots I have ever been on! After seeing my “Rebekah + Brett Wedding Trailer” Lenyce Boyd from Bacio Bacio Bridal Salon contacted me and say “WE GOTTA WORK TOGETHER!” she was blown away not just by the edit but the location as well. The Omphoy Ocean Resort was the backdrop to Rebekah + Brett wedding. Lenyce loved the location for a photo/video shoot for her new webpage. After only a few weeks of planning she put together an amazing team. The all-star line included Chris Joriann Photography on Photos. LaFrance Films on video. Hair and Makeup by Team Beauti. Models where easy to work with as well. They even jumped into the pool! All in the name of fashion! Here is a photo of the models taking the big plunge and blow that is the video we did for the bridal salon and for the Omphoy. Enjoy!

This past week was a busy one. Here are a few Photos + Videos from the video shoot we did in Miami Beach for Scratch Weddings. This was a two day shoot. We filmed local DJs who did their set(s) and after that we interviewed them.
